Every wedding is special, without a doubt, but we kicked off spring wedding season at Leonard’s on one of the highest notes possible. And we actually can’t stop thinking about this March 30th wedding. Why? Well, because the bride and groom actually got their start with us here at Leonard’s Palazzo. Over 10 years ago (sigh, yes, it’s THAT sweet).
We won’t pat ourselves on the back TOO much for playing a role in their relationship, but any time we can be a footnote in a couple’s epic love story is truly an honor. We were privileged to host the wedding of our very own Jackie and Mike Sanchez (Jackie is a current rockstar employee of ours and Mike was a former LP staffer; they met while working with us). We can only hope that their day was as magical as the many milestones they’ve seen go down at the estate over the years. From Sweet Sixteens to graduation parties, weddings to baby showers, the celebrations may not have been their own, but they were all the inspiration the Mr. and Mrs. needed to know that LP was the only place they’d want to seal their pact.
And how’d they do it? With a stunning red and navy-paletted party that absolutely brought the house down. We don’t kid when we say that, either, Jackie and Mike had one of the most spirited, fun-loving soirees we’ve EVER seen. The energy in the room, from their entrance, to their first dance, and everything to follow was electric just like these two are together. Their chemistry = total 💥💥💥. We guess it would have to be, if after 10 years, they were just as if not more in love as they were from the beginning.
We’ll just rattle off a few of the standout moments from 3.30.19, but in no way were there only a few. This crew came primed to party, and Jackie and Mike rallied right alongside them from start to finish.

A stealable sweetheart table.
Yes, stealable. Just look at that romantic votive-laden table, the absolutely lit backdrop behind them, and the four tier semi-naked confection cascading with the sweetest cream roses. Bonus points for the super cute cake topper! #mrandmrssanchez.

Dancing and drumming till dark.
We’ll be honest, our couples and their guests usually know how to have a good time – they throw caution to the wind and can whip and nae nae with the best of them – but that’s not always the case. Sometimes you get a more chilled-out crowd that would rather keep sipping their cocktails, eating, and listening to the band or DJ from their seats than dominating the dance floor (totally okay, too!). Not this group, though! Everyone was out there shaking it, singing, and watching Jackie and Mike bust some guts on the drums!

And a completely-smitten couple.
This is what together for 10 years and embarking on a forever future looks like.

Yet, one of our favorite parts about Jackie and Mike’s day was the complete circle that transpired. Look at those smiles as they ascend our winding staircase. The gold embroidery on Jackie’s gown is incredible and Mike’s sharp black bowtie and lapels just scream GQ groom. Good looking couple right here! It’s almost mesmerizing, too, to see Jackie’s statement necklace offset our gazebo reflecting in the background.

And once their day was over, the two once again took places on the staircase – this time, facing each other, holding hands, and silhouetting themselves against our iconic chandelier. Kind of the perfect way to end a wedding the Leonard’s Palazzo way.
Jackie and Mike, we wish you a lifetime of happiness. We can’t even wait to start planning your future Leonard’s Palazzo parties – so, stick with us 😄.
