One of this year’s hot Long Island wedding trends is the garden wedding. It’s fresh, it’s soft and it is so romantic! Did you know you don’t really need a garden to achieve this beautiful look? Really!

What gives a garden wedding that soft romantic look isn’t actually the garden, it’s all about the decor you use. That doesn’t mean mason jars and burlap, think more high tea in an old English garden.

If you are working with a ballroom or other indoor space, set the stage with some great lighting to wash the walls in soft colors. If you want to go all out you can have the walls lit with gobos of tree silhouettes.

When you look at a wedding hall beautifully set for a wedding, one of the dominant features is the tables. Dress them for your event with pale creamy pink or apricot damask table clothes. They will give a much softer look than stark white and the damask adds some texture. A very, very pale green can give a similar look.
