So, as much as we’ve talked about the wedding day as it applies to the couple (and of course, it’s their day – we’ll always lead with that), we thought it’d be fun to talk about the guest experience a little bit. Why? Well, because a wedding at Leonard’s Palazzo promises the BEST DAY EVER not just for the newlyweds, but for their guests, too. And as someone who’s been to quite a few weddings in the last year alone – in addition to tons before – it’s always a great thing when we’re considered, too!
Case in point, at one of my best friend’s weddings last September, she and her husband had an outrageous Viennese hour, which included the chicest, tastiest crepe station I have ever encountered. Mind you, I barely even like crepes, but having one at her wedding – prepared with oozy chocolate, just the right amount of powdered sugar, and the freshest fruit imaginable – was TDF. I paired it with a flavored cappuccino from their neighboring international coffee bar, and the combination was epic!
Now, obviously, the easiest ways to make your guests happy are with 1) food, 2) drinks and 3) entertainment, anyone, anywhere will tell you that. But then there are those extras that make all the difference. From charging stations – because who else has been to a wedding and had their phone die half-way through reception 🙋🏻, not fun – to well-orchestrated flip flop favors to help out all the heel-weary women who need a break, the unexpected things and experiences that couples can curate for their crew are total I Do DOs.
Talk to us about ways you’d like to wow your guests on your big day, we’re ALL ears. But in case you need a little inspiration, consider a few of the ways we send guests home on the North Shore. No one can top our style.
Our carnival station.
Maybe you and your soon-to-be spouse have vivid memories of summers spent feasting on funnel cake on the boardwalk or never leaving NYC without first grabbing a hot pretzel from that one street cart you know and love. Either way, we pride ourselves on putting together the coolest carnival send-off station around. With hot pretzels, warm churros, beautifully-spun bouquets of pink and blue cotton candy, and gourmet popcorn, the fare is so fierce that no one goes home sad that it’s all over.
Our early bird set up.
Have a crowd that knows “time to make the doughnuts!” all too well? How about treating them to a caffeinated conclusion to your reception? Our chefs perk up your VIPs with warm croissants, scrumptious doughnuts, and freshly-brewed cups of coffee to go. Definitely eliminates their need to stop for Dunkin’ on the way home.
Our hot chocolate carry outs.
Yes, it’s the middle of March, but winter’s still here for a couple of weeks. And there’s never a time not right for hot chocolate. Arewerite? We prep to-go cups of cocoa with all the fixings – mini marshmallows, a dusting of cinnamon, whipped cream (in crazy quantities) – and guests leave feeling like kids, whether they are or not!
Our pizza departure.
And not every ending has to be sweet. Your guests can say goodbye with something savory, too! We love firing up brick oven mini pizzas overflowing with melty cheese and all the umami your guests are going for. It’s an especially nostalgic trip back in time for any couples who regularly recall their college days with friends, leaving the bar and hitting up the nearest pizzeria for satisfying slices to stave off their hellish hangovers.
Oh! And this is just end-of-the-night edibles! Before heading home, your guests will enjoy the most decadent cocktail hour and reception refreshments they’ve ever had the pleasure of packing away.
We’re not kidding when we say “It’s go big or go home. That’s why our honorees never go home with regrets or insatiable hungers (literally and figuratively).” 😉
